01 The name
Our story begins
with Palmyra.
In the third century, Zenobia ruled from Palmyra, an oasis city in what is now Syria. A meeting place for trade routes and cultures, its art and architecture brought different visual worlds into conversation.
Zenobia became one of its most enduring figures. Following the death of her husband, Odaenathus, she rose to power and challenged Rome. Her forces were defeated by the emperor Aurelian in 272 CE, but her presence in the imagination has lasted far longer than her reign.
We are drawn to the resolve in that story. The confidence to have a point of view. The idea that a woman can define her own presence.
That is the spirit behind our name: a contemporary house for women who move through life on their own terms.

02 The inspiration
An entire world.
A very small canvas.
Our visual language looks to Syrian inlay and the intricate compositions of Damascene decorative objects. Small forms become a larger pattern. Pearl brings light to darker surfaces. A border holds the whole together.
On a watch dial, those relationships take on a new intimacy. The geometry is close enough to study. The light moves with your wrist. A detail that might be lost across a room becomes something you encounter throughout the day.
Zenobia brings that decorative imagination together with Swiss watchmaking. The composition invites a closer look; the movement gives it a steady rhythm.
